Communication is one of the most important aspect in any organization. To maintain my PLN i have to constantly be in touch and communicate with other professionals, learners and colleagues.
I use social media as a tool for communication. This is because almost everyone is on social media and therefore it is much easier to find people with the same interests, profession and expertise as you when you are browsing on any social media platform.
1. Gmail
I use the gmail email service for all my professional communication such as job offers, proposals, conversations with lecturers. This is a much more formal way of keeping contact and it is beneficial because it is instant which means a response can be received quicker from the other party. It also helps because if someone cannot attend to the email at the time it was sent to them, they an always go back later and respond.

2. Twitter
i use my twitter account to share information and links about the current news, what is trending and engage in conversations with the masses through a hashtag.

3. Instagram
Instagram is a social media platform that you can use to share pictures with your followers. They can send you messages and you can respond to them. Instagram generates information from your digital footprint and use that to suggest different accounts that you can follow. For example, when you have been searching the internet for teaching inclusively, instagram will place educational accounts on your discovery page . This is a way of staying connected and engaging with people .

It includes communication tools you use to maintain it, applications that enable you to create content and share it with the wider public.
