Teaching is not merely an act of transferring knowledge and information to learners. It is about ensuring that you select the correct teaching strategies to support the various needs of learners. This means that as a teacher, you ought to learn more about your learners everyday to find new ways in which you can help them acquire education better. This entails that your teaching practice as an individual changes holistically so that you may offer your learners educational experience that they have never acquired before.
I am Nosipho Zondi, a third year bachelor of education student at the University of Johannesburg who is determined about offering learners education that is worth their while and that entails that i constantly engage with other teachers from around the world who can help inform my teaching practice and improve my career as a whole. As an upcoming teacher, i believe in creating an educational space that will be conducive for learners and allow them to learn effectively and be successful in their studies. I believe in forming relationships with other teachers, working together and sharing ideas and expertise that will help ensure that each one of us grows as an educator and also learn what they did not know as a way of improving our own teaching practice and teaching philosophy.

As an individual that is about to enter the working sector in a few years, it is essential that i maintain an online profile that will help either my future employer have an overview of who i am or other colleagues that may wish to connect with me regarding teaching and our profession. I have established an online profile that assists me in such cases and keeps me connected. As a student it is vital that i engage with people that are already in the profession who have experiences and expertise i have not yet acquired, this will help me when i am a qualified teacher because i will have background knowledge of what do in the classroom, what methods of teaching to introduce and activities t engage learners in which will make education more fun and understandable to them.
